The magistrate in the Andheri Court had ordered an interrogation against Salman Khan in the case of misbehavior against a Mumbai journalist. The development comes months after the journalist, Ashok Pandey, moved court asking registration of FIR against Salman and his bodyguards, who had allegedly assaulted him despite him seeking permission to click his pictures on his mobile phone.
According to an entertainment portal, the Mumbai Court has asked the police to investigate & submit the report in Salman Khan case.
Portal claims “The police didn’t file the FIR so he went to court asking for an FIR to be filed. Court didn’t allow that. Only asked the police to investigate & submit a report. It’s section 202 order. There is a counter to complain as well”.
The incident happened on April 24, when Salman Khan was riding a bicycle during which he was escorted by 2 of his bodyguards. Pandey told the portal that he was riding a car when he saw Salman Khan and started filming him after asking from Khan’s bodyguard. He stated that this enraged Salman and his bodyguards came to his car & started thrashing Pandey.
Pandey also claimed that Salman too assaulted him & threatened him of terrible consequences which made him approach the authorities. However, they refused to register his complaint.
The police stated that no crime was committed. Due to this, Pandey approached the Andheri court and sought registration of FIR against Salman Khan & his bodyguards.
In an earlier PTI report, it was said that Pandey demanded the trio be booked under section 323 (causing hurt), section 392 (robbery), section 506 (criminal intimidation), section 426 (mischief) & section 34 (common intention) of the IPC.
