Everyone who has seen Kesari is Appreciating Toranj Kayvon for her acting in her debut movie, she impressed everyone with her acting skills, Toranj is also a very famous Professional Photographer in the Industry. Toranj Kayvon was born in Tehran, Iran, she moved to Vancouver, Canada when she was 6 years old and lived there until 2012 when she shifted alone to India.
Fortunately, Filmy Masala Now Reporter Pranjali Shrivastava got a lucky chance to communicate with Toranj Kayvon the multi-talented Professional Photographer cum Actor and managed to get her Interview. So here it is, the short and sweet celebrity interview
Where did you grow up?
I was born in Tehran, Iran, and when I was 6 years old I moved to Vancouver Canada and lived there until 2012 when I shifted alone to India
Your naughtiest childhood memory?
I loved finding frogs and lizards and snakes to play with as a child… I still do
If you could change one thing about yourself, what it would be?
To never ever even have a thought about changing anything about myself
What got you into photography?
my love for fashion and my love for actors
What Are Your Favorite Kinds Of Photography?
fashion and actors! And photography that is inspired by ancient art and paintings
Tell us something about your journey from a professional photographer to an actor?
I wanted to do both since I was a teenager, but I wasn’t allowed to pursue either. My parents wanted me to become a lawyer. I finally was able to fight for photography… and then later as an adult, I made the decision to finally start pursuing my dream of acting.
Whose work has influenced you most?
How did you get this project (Kesari)?
One of my acting teachers referred me for the part to casting director Jogi, he auditioned me and I got the part almost immediately.
What kind of roles do you want to do?
All and any that are inspiring and uplifting people… I love making people feel elated.
Can you tell us any good memory you remember from the shoot of Kesari?
Every moment was the best moment of my life. I cried in between takes secretly from joy. Shooting for Kesari was my greatest dream realized. Every morning I woke up to go to the Kesari set felt like the greatest day of my life.
How was your working experience with Akshay Kumar?
Pure joy. Inspiration. A privilege. Can’t wait to do it again!
You are getting appreciation everywhere after the release of Kesari, what are your feelings right now?
Gratitude to my director Anurag Singh for choosing me for the part of Gulwarien in Kesari and pure appreciation for my life and my decision to finally pursue my dream.
When will we get to see you again?
God willing, very soon.
Your celebrity crush?
I don’t have one!
What would you like to inherit?
I have everything I need inside me.
which is your favorite movie?
I have too many favorites: The Matrix, Avatar, Shawshank Redemption, Limitless — and they all have inspiration and universal and human potentiality as a theme, which I love.
Who is your favorite actor?
That’s tough because I feel inspired by so many actors in Hollywood and Indian cinema. To name just a few: Nawaz, Irfaan, Edward Norton, Ranbir Kapoor, Leonardo DiCaprio
Who is your favorite actress?
Again, there are too many to choose one, but I feel something special when I watch Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Tabu, Alia Bhatt, Mrunal Thakur
Who are your best buddies in Bollywood?
Now I can’t choose between my friends, they are all special to me.
Advice that you would give to someone aspiring to become an actor?
Self-love is at the center of manifesting any dream.
