Ace singer Javed Ali, known for his soulful renditions of iconic songs such as “Srivalli” from Pushpa, “Kun Faya Kun” from Rockstar, and “Guzarish” from Ghajini, has recently collaborated with popular playback singer Akriti Kakar for a new song called “Socho Zara.” The song, produced by Minara Akter, was released on the Minara Music YouTube channel.
In addition to Akriti Kakar, Javed Ali has also teamed up with the legendary music composer Lalit Pandit for “Socho Zara.” The music video of the song features actors Sahil Phull and Neet Mahal, with direction by Zeeshan Sultanuz Zaman and Hemant Gulshan Chauhan as the Director of Photography.
When asked about “Socho Zara,” Javed Ali shared his thoughts:
1. Can you please tell us about the song “Socho Zara” and its genre?
“Socho Zara” is a romantic song. It’s a duet that Akriti and I have sung together. It’s a great feeling, and Lalit Ji has composed it fantastically. I am really happy and looking forward to the song.
2. How did you get involved with this song, and what was your experience of singing it?
Answer – I received a call from Minara Music Production, asking me to sing this song. When they mentioned that it was composed by Lalit Ji, I was even more delighted because Lalit Ji has beautifully composed it. The track has a very romantic feel to it, which I enjoyed a lot.
3. Did you have to make any preparations for this song? If so, please tell us about it.
In terms of preparation, I received a scratch recording from Lalit sir. I didn’t dub this song in India but in New Jersey, America, as I was on tour at that time. Producer Minara Akter was also present during the dubbing session. It was a fun experience recording this song. I sang it with a lot of passion because the song demanded it. The composition and lyrics of the song speak for themselves, so there was no specific preparation required. However, I poured all my feelings and love into this song.
4. Can you share your experience of collaborating with Lalit Pandit Ji and Akriti Kakar for this song?
Lalit Ji is a legendary artist and music composer, well-known for his work as part of Jatin-Lalit. I have worked with him on some other songs in the past, and every time I get an opportunity to work with him, it’s always a fresh and new experience. This time was no different. As I mentioned, I recorded this song in the US, and Lalit Ji wasn’t present at that time, so I recorded it by myself. The best part is that he kept the song as it was without making any changes or corrections. Akriti is an incredibly talented singer, and I really appreciate her voice. I believe people will enjoy our combination in this song.
