Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Cuttputlli,’ has been released on OTT platform Disney Plus Hotstar. This is Akshay’s fourth film this year and his third film to be released directly on OTT. ‘Lakshmi’ and ‘Atrangi Re’ were his previous two releases on the direct OTT platform.

Once again Akshay Kumar has come up with the role of a police officer and he has done a great job in the film. Chandrachur Singh, who had proved his mettle with his brilliant performance in the web series ‘Arya,’ has once again dominated his role. Rakul Preet Singh plays the role of a teacher in the film, and she fits in the role perfectly. The surprise packet of the film is Punjabi actress Sargun Mehta, she has done amazing work.

‘Cuttputlli’ is the Hindi remake of the Tamil film ‘Ratsasan.’ Those who have watched the original may not like the film that much.

If we talk about the direction, then Ranjit M. Tiwari has done such a great job that the mistakes of the original film are not visible in the remake.

The first half of the film may seem somewhat slow to the audience, but the second half is fast-paced, which fills the audience with excitement. But Ranjit should have focused on the climax a little more. They could have made it better if they wanted to.

The music of the film is strictly average. If you are a fan of suspense thriller movies, and you have not watched the original Tamil film ‘Ratsasan,’ then this movie is for you. Akshay Kumar’s fans will not be disappointed after watching this film. We are going with 3.5/5 stars.
