Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai Spoiler: Misfired Text and Misfired Trust Rock the Poddars

Mother’s Day Turns Emotional in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai; Armaan’s Obsession With Pookie Raises Eyebrows.

The Poddar men step into unfamiliar territory—the kitchen—as they take charge to give the women a break on Mother’s Day. While Charu and Kiara pitch in to help, the ladies enjoy the thoughtful gesture. But amidst the cheer, Kaveri remains her usual self and questions Sanjay about her Mother’s Day gift, only to be met with disappointment as he confesses he forgot.

Meanwhile, Vidya gets lost in memories of her son Rohit. She sees glimpses of him in Armaan and emotionally reflects that Rohit would’ve loved playing with baby Pookie. Armaan, touched by her words, agrees wholeheartedly, saying Rohit would’ve cherished every moment with the little one.

Abhira Confronts Armaan’s Spending; His Fixation on Pookie Deepens

Abhira and Armaan have a candid conversation about finances. She points out his impulsive spending habits, especially the impractical pair of heels he gifted her. Armaan dismisses her concern, saying she can wear them anywhere, just not with Pookie. Abhira chooses not to wear them, and he flips the topic, suggesting she should be spending more time with the baby instead.

While this is happening, Armaan’s parenting instincts veer into overprotectiveness. He grows visibly uncomfortable letting anyone else care for Pookie, especially Vidya, despite her experience. Abhira catches on to his growing anxiety and is clearly unsettled by the shift in his behaviour.

A Misfired “I Love You” and Armaan’s Micromanagement Cause Tension

Things take a dramatic turn when Abhir’s “I love you” message meant for Charu ends up on Kiara’s phone. Cue the misunderstanding—Charu and Kiara end up in an awkward spot, adding a layer of tension to an already emotionally charged day.

Back in Pookie-land, Armaan becomes obsessively involved in every little detail. He criticises Kajal for wrapping the baby’s blanket too tightly and blames Manisha for waking her up. His hyper-focus on controlling who interacts with Pookie begins to hurt the very people around him—Manisha, Kajal, and Vidya all feel the sting of his dismissive attitude. Even Abhira is left shaken by how much Armaan has changed.

While helping out in the kitchen, Armaan asks Abhira to bring Pookie’s milk but then refuses to trust her with checking the temperature. When Abhira assures him it’s fine, he still insists on doing it himself, leaving her feeling disrespected and mistrusted.

Abhira Doubts Armaan’s Return to Normal

Later, Abhira approaches Kaveri and brings up something she said earlier—that Armaan would return to his old self after the baby’s birth. But now, seeing his erratic and controlling behaviour, Abhira wonders if that version of Armaan will ever come back.

She watches silently as the family adjusts to Armaan’s ever-increasing protectiveness over Pookie. It dawns on her that his past trauma might be shaping how he parents now, and she starts questioning how to help him understand that this path may not be healthy for him, the family, or the baby.
