The controversy surrounding “The Diary of West Bengal”: Just when the controversy over ‘The Kerala Story’ hasn’t settled, another film has sparked a new controversy. Recently, film director Sanoj Mishra released the trailer for his highly anticipated film, ‘The Diary of West Bengal,’ which has also become the subject of controversy.

In West Bengal, where the politics surrounding director Sudipto Sen’s film ‘The Kerala Stories’ had not yet subsided, director Sanjoy Mishra has now come under the radar of the West Bengal police for his film ‘The Diary of West Bengal Controversy.’ On May 30th, Sanjoy Mishra, the director of ‘The Diary of West Bengal,’ was issued a notice under various Sections.

Now, it remains to be seen what unfolds in this case. In the meantime, the director has requested the West Bengal police to grant him one month’s time as he is not currently in a position to reach there by May 30th.
On the other hand, the director has sought help from Prime Minister Narendra Modi through a lengthy Facebook post.
