The premiere episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 18 is set to bring together some of Bollywood’s biggest stars as Amitabh Bachchan welcomes Aamir Khan, Preity Zinta, and Sunny Deol to celebrate the theme ‘Sochna Padega.’ Amid the laughter, nostalgia, and memorable conversations, Preity Zinta shared a hilarious behind-the-scenes story that left both the audience and Amitabh Bachchan smiling.
Recalling her early days in the film industry, the actress revealed that she was so eager to work with Amitabh Bachchan that she agreed to do a film simply because it guaranteed her a scene with him.
Preity Zinta shares a hilarious Armaan memory
During an interaction with the studio audience, a fan asked Preity about her long association with the Bachchan family and her fondest memory of working with them.
Responding warmly, Preity said she has always loved and respected the Bachchan family, but one particular memory stands out above all. She revealed, “Very fond memories, it’s one family that I love and respect a lot, but if I have to say if all the memories there are one and I was dying to work with Amit ji, dying to… and maine bohot try kiya, and then maine film sign ki Armaan, and I told Honey Irani, the director, ki main yeh film karungi agar mera Amit ji ke saath ek scene ho. So she said, ‘Okay, if you’re dying to work with him, you better die in the scene.’ I am in coma and Amitabh ji comes and I am in coma. Amit ji remember? Aur, I was shaking because it was so difficult to act dead. I felt so silly because there was the Amitabh Bachchan in the room and I was like… and I was shaking. ‘Preity aap scene kharab kar rahein ho, Preity aap hil rahein ho… Preity!'”
In English, Preity explained that she was desperate to work with Amitabh Bachchan and had tried repeatedly to find an opportunity. When she signed Armaan, she told director Honey Irani that she would do the film only if she had at least one scene with him. The director jokingly responded that if she wanted to work with him so badly, she would have to die in the scene. As a result, her character was shown in a coma while Amitabh Bachchan entered the room, and Preity admitted she was trembling throughout the shot because she was too nervous to remain perfectly still.

The candid confession left the studio audience laughing, and even Amitabh Bachchan appeared amused as Preity described how difficult it was to act unconscious while standing beside one of Indian cinema’s greatest legends.
