According to the sisters, the wedding decision was taken at the last minute, which is why they were unable to attend the ceremony.
Their parents asked them not to speak about it
Soha and Saba further revealed that their parents had instructed them not to discuss the marriage with anyone.
They explained that they were told not to comment because even the family was unsure about how accurate the reports appearing in newspapers were at the time. Since they were very young, they followed their parents’ instructions and remained silent about the wedding.
Soha also remembered that it was actually her French teacher who first told her about the marriage, making the entire experience even more surprising for the sisters.
